Bonaire Flag Day
Bonaire Flag Day is an annual event celebrated on September 6th each year to commemorate the island’s flag and celebrate its existence. It is a legal holiday on Bonaire, an island municipality of the Netherlands, and is marked by vibrant public festivities throughout the day. The flag of Bonaire has a large blue triangle in the lower right corner and a smaller yellow triangle in the upper left corner. It was adopted in 2000 after Europeans first arrived on the island. On this day, businesses are closed and people gather to celebrate with music, food, parades, and other activities.
