1) Choose the right roller for your needs. There are different sizes and textures of rollers available, so find one that feels comfortable for you.
2) Start slow. Roll slowly across the target area for about 30 seconds. You should feel some tension and discomfort, but no pain.
3) Increase the intensity over time as you become more comfortable with foam rolling. Add more pressure or speed as needed….
